The first cave we seen we did not explore but the opening was very impressive. Misty in the beginning you could not see into the hole. After it cleared up it definitely looked like there was a cave down there. |

From the inside you could see through to the light. The wind I remember was very cool. Clean and cool was the texture. |

Mammoth cave national park has a number of different caves. We toured the Frozen Niagra, called that because some of the rock formations look like frozen water falls. |

It was just a door in the side of the mountain that lead to the hallway leading downwards. To a passage down some stairs. To a trail leading deep into the balls of the earth. |

The caves were very well kept. They ask you when you first go in not to take anything, leave anything, and try not to touch anything. Sounds boring but it is the only way to maintain the natural wonder. |
