Computer aided design is a large and varied field. One person I know does electrical circuit boards, another neumadics, cad is used in just about every field you can mention.

I used my auto cad training to do simple archetiture for remodeling and other small jobs. It aided me in the sales of the job, determining how the entity should be built, and how much it would cost.

ESTIMATOR

Even the smallest of jobs can get complicated. The customer has a better chance understanding the whole if they can go over it step by step. Also estimating a job and using an esimating program to do so helps develop a clearer understanding.

I got my construction estimating program right from the library. I looked up a book that I wanted, as a research beginning, and there was a floppy disk in the back. Sometimes you can get lucky.

SCANNER

When I bought the scanner it was primarily to download picture and fax type possibilities. Come to think of it that is just what I am using it for. Articles and graphic designs are going to go through my scanner to get to the net.

ADOBE

Is a photo lab that came with the scanner. Many unique modifications can be performed on the original picture. It is the program is use to modify the way in which the picture or graphic is read by the computer.

DIGITAL CAMERA

I've had my camera for less then a year. In that time I've taked over 3500 pictures. It is a mazing, on a small memory card I put 122 pictures before I have to download and erase.

I still have only the one digital, (although I do have a 35mm, and a 8mm video camera), so most of all the pictures appearing in my web pages came from this camera.

OLYMPUS

Is the digital picture modification program. Not very complex but enough to resize and shape a bit. Also helps me store and organize. As a regular thing this is one of my most commonly used programs.

GIF CONSTRUCTION SET FOR WINDOWS

GIF CONSTRUCTION SET FOR WINDOWS is basically a motion graph program. Anything that moves on my pages came though this program. I downloaded it free a year ago. It took me 2 months to really get to know it.

HTML CODING

And my proudest accomplishment is the ability to build these web pages. I downloaded tutorials that I got to by simply typing html in my browser. Step by step I studied. Until I get to the point that I could build. Next will be the advanced features.

ADVERTIZING SALES

And finally what can I do with all I've learned. It is not a bad Idea to build as many pages as I can and then just advertize on them. I can get paid by a variety of different advertizing schemes. I don't know how I feel about this type of income. I guess not to take it would be like turning down money. But there are many ways to utilize ones skills.
