AWAKE SLEPPY HEAD, IT IS TIME TO GROW-UP

I am Dragon. Sitting in the entrance of your world looking in. Confused, I awake from my deep sleep to find the world as it is today. Becoming more conscious, alive to the things around me I first smile, and then anquish.

The Earth is green and beautiful. There is an abundance of natural resource, more then enough to house and feed the entire world, twice over. The only reason for starvation, poverty and war is because we are not getting along well enough to share equally. (childish).

To be fair, I believe that humans only just became capable of caring for the whole world's population. Not that their growth from primitive infancy was without difficulty. But the advances in different fields, (medicine, transportation, communication, food production, manufacturing, just to name a few) over the last fifty (50) years has finally given us the ability to care for everyone the world over.

You could form a correlation between "the growth of our societies together" viewed as a single entity, and the growth of any living thing. First we were babies, barely able to survive Then we became a (feral child) needing to learn and grow, but without guidance. Who was our mother when we suffered, and who was our father to protect us.

Now mankind is in the stage of young adulthood, big enough, strong enough and smart enough, to survive anything, accept himself.

BELIEVE THIS OR NOT

We live in a world that is a little out of touch with reality. Or at least we behave as though things are not as they truly are or we think something is important or necessary, but when viewed from another perspective they are ridiculous. Example:

We water our grass. It is nice that we have green grass. And when the effort was individual it was well worth it. A man took pride in the little extra effort he put forth to make his home a nicer place.

Now the reality has changed. As a society, we have green grass. We have starving people all over the world and we spend millions of dollars everyday to make our lives alittle greener.

Your front yard stretches to the farthest reaches of this Earth, and then beyond to the stars.
